Bio:

Growing up in a family of innately creative people, I had always been surrounded by fantastical stories and homemade works of art through quilting or sign-making. As I grew up, I was pushed further in my creative endeavors, from dance to music to visual art, I had the opportunity to try it all. But throughout the plethora of artistic mediums I did, I always found myself drawn to the idea of telling a story. Something that people could relate and connect to, no matter what their walk of life or background. Something that can be considered a haven for people to go to during times of trouble, as many storytelling mediums have done for me. From written novels to TV shows, I found myself a place in all kinds of stories as I grew older, even having begun my own. I have written many stories, creating character designs and concept works focused on plotting out my ideas in a visual medium as I go. I find great pleasure in writing and creating works of art connected to my stories and being able to share them with people.

Artist Statement:

I am a multi-media artist who works on various scales to bring my visions to life with my work. My work focuses on bringing stories and ideas to life through whatever medium may fit the thought best. I express myself through my work and the way I create, inspired by the world around me. I am fascinated by people's individual stories and how they can be portrayed through one’s appearance and personality. My creative process is influenced by the sound that I listen to when making a piece. I have curated playlists for different moods and artworks to help me when creating a piece. Through my work, I aim to share stories with the world, whether fictional or personal and to enjoy the process of creating a piece of work. The Goose is a wooden sculpture painted in acrylic of a goose holding up a sign. It may not have a deep story behind the piece, but I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process that led to the finished piece. Even if a piece may not have a story connected to it, if I enjoy creating it, I am happy.
